Ammie Ferguson

Bikram Yoga Manayunk

Yoga is the family business for Schuyler and Ammie Ferguson. The couple met at a Bikram Yoga teacher training seminar in California in 2010, later married and had 2 beautiful babies, and now work and teach together in their studios, Bikram Manayunk and University City. Bikram Yoga is a specialized sequence of yoga developed in the 1970s by Bikram Choudhury, which includes 26 yoga postures done in a 90-minute class practiced in a room heated to about 105 degrees and about 40 percent humidity -- "a healthy sweat," as Schuyler Ferguson said. "At every studio, we all teach the same Bikram Yoga class," Ferguson said, making it a familiar and welcoming environment for anyone who's ever practiced the technique. There are many Bikram-certified teachers in the area, and several "hot yoga"... Read the profile >>

Angela Travaglini

Sol Yoga

Fitness and overall well-being has been a focus for Angela for decades. She discovered yoga in 1998 when, due to an injury, she had to take a break from running. What she failed to realize at that moment was that yoga was going to change her life. While the physical component of yoga was what drew her in, as she practiced more and more, the spiritual component became increasingly important. In her eagerness to spread this passion, Angela was certified to teach by Power Yoga Works in 2005. In June 2012, she completed Level One Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste in Sedona, Arizona. She has been providing yoga instruction, in both group and individual settings, ever since, and her commitment to her own practice, as well as to the practice of others, has intensified. Stillpoint Yoga

I am so excited to be Lululemon’s November’s Ambassador of the month representing Stillpoint Yoga in King of Prussia! This is such a beautiful time of the year as we prepare (and hopefully embrace) the transition from autumn to winter. I love that during these dramatic seasonal changes Mother Nature creates an explosion of color to remind us that change, and life, is beautiful and always evolving. The month of November also brings my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. A day where I share time with people I am grateful to have in my life. And the to-do list is simple: fun, food, friends and football! I am thankful for a life that allows me to be surrounded by family and friends who constantly inspire me to grow and evolve as life moves from one day to the next, one season to the next... Don Myer

Hotbox Yoga

After reading the book, “Journey Into Power” by Baron Baptiste, I found myself taking my very first yoga class in 2004 at the Baptiste affiliate studio Power Yoga Works in Malvern, PA. My practice and commitment grew until I was inspired to find a better understanding of this transformational yoga practice. I attended my first teacher training in 2006 with Certified Baptiste Teacher, Bill Raup, and have been teaching at Power Yoga Works since 2007. Even though I still feel very young in my yogic journey, having taken my first yoga class as recently as 2004, the power, as well as connection to... Read the profile >>

Kristin Sapp

Bikram Yoga Exton

Kristin discovered Bikram Yoga in February 2008. Like most people who try Bikram Yoga, she was not sure how she felt about her first class. It was hot, it was difficult, she struggled her way through, but within a few hours she felt better than she ever had, and she was hooked! It was clear that Bikram yoga was going to be a part of her life. The more she practiced, the more she could really see and hear herself, and she realized how lost she had become in the hectic pace of life. Teaching others this amazing form of yoga became a fast goal. In September 2008, Kristin enrolled in Bikram Yoga Teacher Training and left her home and family for Bikram’s 9 week, 500+ hour training. The program included yoga therapy, anatomy, physiology, and two daily yoga classes taught by Bikram and... Read the profile >>

Michelle Bucci

The Yoga Den

Michelle’s first experience with yoga was in college in 2000. She decided to take Hatha Yoga as her gym class and was immediately intrigued. She enjoyed everything about it, from the postures, to the breathing exercises, to the way it made her feel afterward. She grew extremely fond of her teacher and the sense of overall balance and peacefulness she radiated. Although she truly enjoyed Hatha Yoga, it wasn’t until she discovered Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga in 2005 that she fell head over heels in love with the practice. Michelle had always been very athletic, dabbling in running, strength conditioning, boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but NOTHING compared to the physical and mental effect that Power Yoga brought to her. It didn’t take long for Michelle to begin practicing 3 times a... Read the profile >>
