Straight from Page, here is her story:

I began to become interested in running after my kids were in college. Initially a "closet runner", I logged 10-15 mile runs on my tread mill. I was forced to run outside in the dead of winter 2008 when my tread mill broke from over use. This road running was a new challenge. Not only did I need to create my own momentum, I had to get over my shyness and my "poser" phenomena. I had to do this quick as Richard, my husband, convinced me to run the Broad Street 10 miler along with 25,000 other runners! Not only was I empowered crossing the finish line, but I knew I had 3 more miles in me to run a 1/2 marathon. I proceeded to run the Philadelphia Distance Run (now the Rock N' Roll Philly 1/2), and then the Philadelphia 1/2. The allure of the marathon was hanging over my head so I tackled this running Miami Marathon in January 2009. Since then I have completed 11 marathons and 20 some 1/2 marathons. I have run Boston, in California, in Hawaii and even in Alaska. This summer I ran internationally, running the Helsinki City Marathon in Finland. Surprisingly I have discovered that we all run basically the same, putting one foot in front of the other!

I have found that runners make the greatest comrades, always willing to share, whether it is their experience or their knowledge. Many a runner has mentored me in developing my running skills and I love giving back. I am thrilled to be in a place where I can help others achieve their goals in running.
