Heather Cohen
Heather's energy and passion has made her one of Washington D.C.'s favorite group exercise instructors for the past ten years. After taking her first aerobics class at the age of 13, she became hooked. Her first certification was the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America's Primary Certification at 19 years old. With that, she began teaching a variety of classes at Washington Sports Clubs, George Washington University and Sport and Health Clubs while attending the George Washington University to earn her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. By 21, Heather was Group Exercise Coordinator at Ballston Sport and Health in Arlington, Virginia. Since then she has earned her CPR/AED through the American Red Cross, Balanced Body Pilates Reformer Certification and Certified Personal Trainer credentials through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Though she works full time doing sell-side equity research, she is currently on staff at WSC and Vida Fitness where she teaches: Pilates, Pilates Reformer, Kickboxing, Step, Hip-hop, Cycle, Glide, Total Body Conditioning, Boot Camp, Cardio Circuit, Military Challenge and her signature Vida class ... House Beats Spin. She's also a Master Trainer at Vida Fitness.
Heather first started wearing Lululemon twelve years ago before Lululemon had stores in the United States. After falling in love with a pair of reversible groove pants she found in the Canyon Ranch boutique in Tucson, AZ, Heather called the Lululemon manufacturer in Canada and had six pairs directly shipped. The newest Lululemon item she can't live without is the Essential Gym Bag which she insists on giving as gifts to her friends and family members. The reversible groove pant is still her favorite and most versatile piece.
