Amy Frostick is the Vice President of J&A Racing, a race management company that owns and directs four running races in Virginia Beach. J&A Racing's flagship event, the Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend, a St. Patrick's themed celeberation of running, was voted Runner Up, as the Most Family-Friendly Marathon by Runner's World Magazine. Of the 25,000 plus participants, 3600 are elementary school students participating in the Operation Smile Final Mile, a program very important to Amy, that was designed to promote activity and help fight childhood obesity. Amy directs all operations, marketing and accounting and manages a full-time staff that includes sponsorship and event directors as well as a race timing division. Prior to J&A Racing, Amy and her husband Jerry owned Final Kick Sports, a retail store that catered to the running and triathlon community.
Amy's alma matter is Old Dominion University where she recieved both her undergraduate and her MBA. Amy later returned to ODU to teach Event Management for her Sports Marketing undergraduate program while continuing her duties at J&A Racing. Amy loves running with her husband, friends and her dog Ginger, and when she can help it she never runs the same route twice.
