The love of training and transforming my Body began at the early age of 16. The grip of dumbells, the push with each rep, the awareness of breath and that amazing feeling of accomplishment when a training session was completed. This all excited me and kept me heading to the gym for years!
Born and raised in Vernon B.C. I spent hours on the lakes skiing and in the winter skating on the ponds. I was always active, always pushing myself, yet never found that team sport that fit me. Strength training became that sport for me. It gave me the discipline and the sense of being part of a community that a team sport offers. I still find myself heading to the gym eager to pick up a barbell or dumbell and begin a great session. It is the one moment in the day I forget everything, all the weight of life, and just focus on taking care of me, my mind and my body.
The past four years I have enjoyed teaching and training others. Whether it is an intimate one on one session, small corporate group or a large class setting. Motivating and pushing others thru a Strength session is the next greatest feeling to my own training. Then watching their body transform into strong physiques? Amazing.
Now as a mother of two Beautiful girls, I appreciate my training days more than ever. I still look forward to hitting the gym, pushing and pulling. It keeps me young. It keeps me strong. It keeps me playful.
