I was born and raised in a small town outside of Vienna Austria. In 1995, I left Europe to finish my Ph.D. in Psychology in New York.
Victoria became my new home in 1997. I fell in love with the outdoors of Vancouver Island and Squamish, enjoying rock climbing and mountain biking.
In 2001 I became Canadian Citizen and a year later, took up running. This new love was pleasantly interrupted by 3 pregnancies (2003, 2005 and 2008) then unpleasantly interrupted by a knee surgery (2009).
I needed a goal to motivate me to get through the strenuous rehabilitation of the knee injury and decided to work on being the fittest master runner possible. I have been able to train with only minor set backs since January 2011 thanks to the support of my family, friends and professionals.
