Spend a few minutes with Eddison Noel and you will feel his genuine passion for yoga.
After suffering a debilitating athletic injury just over 5 years ago, unable to partake in his usual training regimen, Eddison reluctantly tried hot yoga as a last resort to staying active and healthy. After one class, he was captivated, experiencing healing he never thought possible; physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
After one year of practicing, Eddison joined an intense Bikram Yoga Teacher Training program and 6 months later opened Westcoast Hot Yoga™ in White Rock. He and his sister Camille, both graduates from the Bikram’s Yoga College of India and co-owners of Westcoast Hot Yoga™ (www.WestcoastHotYoga.com), recently brought their unique and personal practice to the community of Yaletown.
The studio environment is one of cooperation and is free of judgment or expectations. It is a space where students help one another, teachers help students and everyone shares a common connection. Every class is a beginner’s class meaning no one will experience intimidation, nervousness or self consciousness. Instead, students are filled with a sense of empowerment, achievement and pride in their abilities. “If you perceive yourself in a manner which is positive, that is what will manifest” says Eddison.
Eddison’s vision is to “nurture the spirit of yoga and unity and spread the joy, peace, and bliss of its benefits by providing a peaceful space in an urban setting.” Whether your intention for exploring hot yoga is to relieve stress, recover from an ailment or illness or improve your strength and flexibility, you will always be sure to leave with a feeling of revitalization and a sense of well being.
