Chloé Labelle (mother, teacher, yoga instructor)
Though originally from Ottawa, after 14 years, the west coast is now home for Chloé. The majestic mountains, deep forests and soothing ocean are enough to keep her rooted here on the north shore. She is a life long student and experienced instructor of Yoga dedicated to helping her students discover their own full potential. Vida Plena, the company she started with her husband Nico, means just that, living a plentiful life. She believes in the possibility for everyone to enjoy a “vida plena”, with a strong, flexible body, a calm mind, and a joyful spirit. As a power vinyasa yoga teacher, she cultivates both strength and grace in a flowing practice of movement and breath where the dance of yoga emerges as a celebration of the body, its inner rhythms and its connection to nature and the divine in each of us. In class, she aims to create an experience of embodiment, to help students connect to their body and breath, and to encourage the emotions released from deeper openings to surface. Ultimately she is strives to uncover new insights into her students’ practice, their yoga path and into their life off the mat. As a busy mother of two and high school teacher as well, the connections between yoga and life are everywhere. Parenting and teaching are constant balancing acts where the opportunities for growth and to stay present and true to oneself are abundant. Through her affiliation with schools she has also taught yoga at various schools to encourage fitness and positive body image for youth. In her free time, she enjoys sharing smiles, giggles and tickles with her beloved children and husband at home. Aside from yoga and core-conditioning, she finds riding and hiking the shores’ mountains or dancing up a storm in her living room to be the best forms of movement meditation. So far, she’s livin’ la vida plena!!
