Dr. Robin Armstrong has been involved in the health and wellness industry for over 14 years - currently as a chiropractor, yoga instructor, and health writer and previously as a coach, personal trainer, and Kinesiologist. Robin takes a strong interest in helping people get active and stay active to enjoy a long, healthy life. Combining traditional chiropractic care with advanced soft tissue therapy, she designs individualized treatment programs to get her patients pain free, more mobile, and back enjoying life. She enjoys watching people achieve their goals because of chiropractic. Whether it is picking up their granddaughter, getting through the workday without a headache, or finishing their first Sun Run.
Dr. Robin has contributed health articles to Alive magazine, Impact magazine, Vancouver View, and Canadian Chiropractor magazine. She is a regular contributor of yoga anatomy articles to myyogaonline.com. Robin writes two regular blogs: smartyoga.blogspot.com about yoga anatomy, and getactivestayactive.blogspot.com with tips about introducing exercise into your life and avoiding injury.
Dr. Robin has another passion in life – yoga. Her 9-year background in Ashtanga yoga, an extensive yoga teacher training program, and additional training in pre and postnatal yoga has enhanced her understanding of movement in the human body. Robin has been lucky enough to study with a number of renowned teachers in North America and India. Robin teaches at Semperviva Yoga Studios and the Kerrisdale Community Centre. She will be teaching the Anatomy portion of the Yoga Works Teacher Training hosted by Semperviva Yoga Studio this summer. She enjoys teaching hatha, power, vinyasa, and Ashtanga yoga classes where she can continue to see people achieve their goals, on and off the yoga mat.
