Running is my passion. It has played a very important role in my life over the years – managing stress when I worked in a corporate world, improving self-esteem when I was single, making new life-long friendships when I moved to a new country… and then meeting my wonderful husband (who too, is a runner).
I have been fortunate enough to have many doors open for me through running – one of which was to represent Great Britain in the World Age Group Triathlon Championships in 2007. A dream come true and one that fills me with great pride.
Later in life I was blessed to have a gorgeous little girl (Jessica is now 3yrs old) - this made me reflect on the importance of managing a balanced lifestyle for both myself and my family. I retrained as a personal trainer with the aim of following my passion and helping inspire other women.
I started Beauty of Exercise when I moved to Australia in mid-2011, with the key motivator of helping women embrace a happier, healthier and fulfilling life. I strive to do this by nurturing the passion for running, so that it becomes a healthy habit and enables women to feel good - both physically and psychologically.
My ethos in life is that anything is possible as long as you have the passion. Once the passion is borne, you can challenge your limits and achieve further success in life.
"Life is short...running makes it longer."
