Health and fitness has always been a lifelong passion of mine and the choices I have made along the way have led me to where I am today, an endurance athlete with a strong desire to support others in reaching their ‘Level 10’ health and fitness goals.
I found my passion for running while in high school being a part of the Track & Field and Cross Country Team. Ever since then I have been competing in local 5K and 10K races and building up to half and full marathons. Over the past 5 years I have taken my fitness and nutrition regime to a whole new level, pushing my athletic abilities beyond what I thought imaginable including my most recent accomplishment of running the 2011 Boston Marathon in under 4 hours, just 16 days after competing in one of the country’s hardest mountain biking races in the US.
In addition to my own personal health and fitness results, I am continuously promoting free programs that embody the health and wellness of the community and creating ways of making healthy be fun! On any given week I am leading Lululemon’s Run Club, Fit Club Beach Workouts, Learn & Burn Walking Groups, Weight Loss Challenges, Lunch & Learn Nutrition Presentations and personal one-on-one nutrition planning.
After many years of training as an athlete and coaching others, I’ve learned that my passion for health and fitness doesn’t just encompass the qualitative accomplishments I have acquired over time but also includes the journey I’ve taken along the way to become that person to endure the long trainings, the injuries, the mental fights. I’m grateful for the experiences and positive and driven people I have aligned myself with and my nutrition partner Herbalife. Together these pillars of my life have created a path for me to take what I know as an Athlete and Health Coach and support thousands of people in reaching their health and wellness goals!
