Eric Elven
Eric became a committed Yogi in 2003 after being introduced to the practice by a close friend. In 2005 Eric completed Level One teacher training with Baron Baptiste. He will be attending Level Two training with Baron in September 2008. In 2007 Eric completed the 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher certification requirements with 8 Limbs Yoga Centers in Seattle. After spending 16 years as a Registered Nurse he now teaches yoga full-time. Eric has had the privilege of attending a variety of workshops and trainings with local Seattle favorites such as Lisa Black, Melina Meza, and Katerina Wen. Erin Usher
Erin started practicing pilates several years ago while she was studying massage and needed the kind of strength that pilates provided to help her use her body safely and efficiently. Her enthusiasm for pilates grew as she experienced its profound effects not only on her massage career but her overall health. Due to her desire to share the benefits of pilates with her massage clients in a more direct way, Erin trained to become a pilates instructor. Erin enjoys teaching privately and in classes at Maya Whole Health Studio, where she is co-director and practices massage. Erin wants her students to have a strong understanding of the pilates fundamentals, while also being dedicated to constantly learning more about the body and sharing that knowledge with her students. Jaime Schmitz
Jaime comes to Yoga from a long and diverse athletic back ground. When she committed to a daily Yoga practice, the physical and mental shifts created a sense of peace and balance in her mind and body. After exhausting the workshop circuit, she ended up in teacher training at the Ashtanga Yoga School of Seattle where she studied Ashtanga and the Eight Limbs of Yoga with David and Satya Garrigues (2 of approximately 40 teachers world-wide certified to teach Ashtanga Yoga by Ashtanga’s founder/creator Sri. K Pathabi Jois). Since then she has studied Vinyasa Flow with Shiva Rea and Power Yoga with Bryan Kest. She has also studied Baptiste Power Vinyasa extensively at Shakti Vinyasa. Jake Platt
Jake is an athletic trainer with a unique background in Martial Arts and exercise Kinesiology. He has nearly 20 years of Martial Arts training in various disciplines: Kung Fu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Hapkido, Philipino Arnis and is a Master in Taekwondo. In 1999, Jake began studying Kinesiology to improve his understanding of human movement. This led him to the 2004 Olympics as the athletic trainer for Steven Lopez, a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist in the sport of Taekwondo. In 2002, Steven and Jake combined sport Taekwondo and fitness to bring about the nationally acclaimed fitness program, Fit 360, which was featured in Fitness magazine in September 2003. Katherine Kaufman

After retiring from the musical theater at the grand old age of 24 Katherine decided to try her hand at teaching aerobics. She began at Pro Robics on Queen Anne Hill and was a member of the original instructor team at Laurelhurst Pro Robics where she continues to teach today. The group fitness industry has changed a lot since Katherine began teaching and not just big puffy socks, and spandex leotards. Katherine stays up to date with industry trends by taking continuing education workshops and by attending the IDEA World Fitness Conference once a year. Maygan Wurzer
Maygan founded All That Dance in 1994 and has grown the studio from a handful of classes at its original site to the beautiful, inviting and enriching studio it is today. Maygan has more than fourteen years of experience as a director and dance educator. Calling on her expertise as a classroom teacher, she has shaped All That Dance into a school of dance where all sizes, shapes, ages and abilities can be challenged and have fun, while learning good dance technique. She received her early training at Pacific Northwest Ballet, where she performed in their annual Nutcracker production for four years. Michel Spruance
Michel created Be – Yoga and Meditation LLC in 2006 to inspire people from all walks of life to live to their highest potential. Her highest vision is to see people living happy, healthy and inspired lives. Michel happened upon yoga in 2001. New to yoga, she did not have a name for the style of yoga she was falling in love with, but she knew it unlocked her body and left her mentally refreshed in a way nothing else had.
