Sarah completed her first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in the tropical jungles of Costa Rica where she focused intensely on the philosophy of Yoga as well as meditation practices. When she returned to Los Angeles, she completed her second Teacher Training certification, in Hollywood, at Earth's Power Yoga where she was able to expand her knowledge of human anatomy and alignment in relation to Yoga. It was also during this time that Sarah first discovered her passion for Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Boarding. After spending day after day in the magnificence of the Costa Rican jungle practicing Yoga and in her spare time, hiking, swimming, and exploring everything the tropical jungle had to offer, Sarah was still thirsty for any activity in which she could maintain a consistent presence in nature. With her obvious passion for Yoga, it was not long before she began to experiment with Yoga poses on the SUP boards. And that was just the spark that would very quickly lead to the creation of “YOGAqua”, Sarah’s SUP Yoga company based out of Marina Del Rey, CA, Newport Beach, CA and coming soon in the Summer of 2013, Skiathos, Greece.
Sarah felt the locals need for a new Yoga experience and saw their joy in being outside on the water, under the bright sun while flowing through their new form of Yoga practice. She has now been teaching for over 2 years on the water as well as in studio classes. In the studio, her classes are an athletic Vinyasa flow full of energy, fun, and good music! Sarah will help you get the most out of your practice whether you are a brand new Yogi or have been practicing for years. So leave your worries at the door, or back on the beach, let go, and enjoy the flow.
