Dolphina
Dolphina is honored to be a Lululemon Ambassador and is deliriously delighted to represent the Santa Monica community. She is thoroughly enamored with the amazing socially-conscious company that creates the most darling workout wear out of sustainable fabrics. This hip-shaking dancer has the privilege of sharing the stage with the wild, talented and inspiring women of Lululemon. Come see us perform!
Dolphina is a Mademoiselle on a mission to make a difference in our world, one Goddess at a time. She founded her company, GoddessLife on this premise and has guided its growth into an international feminine force. A powerful teacher, dancer, author, activist, and businesswoman, Dolphina has overcome tremendous odds to create a company the sole purpose of which is to support and empower women. From the streets of New Orleans to the sands of Morocco, Dolphina’s artistry spans the globe, as she tirelessly works to make women’s lives better everywhere.
Dolphina is the creator of the best-selling The Goddess Workout Bellydance DVDs series which has sold in over 4,000 bookstores, boutiques, and retail chains nationwide and internationally, including Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Borders, Kitson, Fred Segal, and Target. She is the author of Bellydance (DK 2005) that has been published in the United States, England, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Japan, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Taiwan, Switzerland and France. She has been featured on hundreds of TV shows, including Sex and the City; Live with Regis and Kelly and CNN and in Time, InStyle, Cosmopolitan and Fitness magazines. In addition, she has been a presenter at the fitness industry’s crème de la crème events, such as ECA, IDEA, and Festival del Fitness in Italy. Dolphina currently runs The Goddess Center an uber-girly studio in Los Angeles that offers fun classes, one-of-kind workshops, empowering events, luminous parties, and a community for fabulous women.
Dolphina believes that “Life isn’t about what you have: it’s about what you have to give”. This year she will travel to Kuwait to teach bellydance classes. Sadly, this is where bellydance originates, but is illegal to teach to women as a form of exercise or empowerment – as women just got the right to vote in 2005!
