Melanie has always had a passion for fitness and helping people achieve their goals and aspirations relating to their body. She loves working with people of all ages to help them feel good about themselves from the inside out. In addition to working with all demographics, Melanie specializes in Body Image, where she works with men and women who have issues with eating and self-esteem, and she helps them learn to love themselves through a mind body approach. Melanie graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a major in Sociology and a double minor in Exercise and Health Science and Fitness Instruction/Personal Training. Melanie also has certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National College of Exercise Professionals (NCEP) in personal training and holistic nutrition, a course completed in pre/post natal training through Fit4Mom, as well as a variety of certifications and continuing education courses for group fitness instruction.

Melanie first started in the fitness field 6 years ago interning at Gold’s Gym, Goleta Valley Athletic Club, and Titan Sports Performance. Melanie worked as a Master Trainer at Spectrum Athletic Club for two years before joining the dynamic team at Conditioning Specialists. In addition, she currently teaches a variety of group fitness classes, both indoors and outdoors.

Melanie’s passion for fitness is evident in the planning and education she puts into each of her clients' individualized programs. From postural assessments to goal setting and continual program updates, Melanie makes sure to give each client a functional program that will not only benefit them aesthetically but also their mental well being. Melanie is very energetic and personable which makes here clients feel comfortable about their bodies and excited to reach their fitness goals. “I feel that I can never know enough about fitness and I am excited to continue my education and help others reach their fitness goals physically and mentally.”
