Amber Taylor

GGRC

Amber has been running since the age of eight, when she started playing softball simply because she liked running the bases. She joined the cross country team in junior high school, and in high school she competed both on the cross country team and the track team. In college, Amber branched out to lacrosse, scuba diving, yoga, and entered the occasional race for fun--Bay to Breakers in San Francisco and the Bend Marathon in Bend Oregon.

In 2004, Amber moved to San Francisco and "found her running legs" again and began running for fun and fitness. A New Year's resolution in 2008 prompted her to join the Golden Gate Running club, which ultimately inspired her to take on trail races and half and full marathons on a regular basis. Amber has run numerous trail races with PCTR and Envirosports and consistently places in her age group. She also ran the San Diego Rock 'n Roll Marathon in 2008, where she qualified for the Boston Marathon which she'll run in 2010.

Amber is now eagerly expecting twin boys who are due in July. Running, spinning, and swimming are carrying her through the pregnancy and Lululemon running clothes definitely helped. In these photos Amber is 6-months pregnant.

Amber also volunteers for Girls on the Run.
