Shauna teaches an alignment-based yoga that emphasizes joint stability and strength, muscle flexibility and conscious breathing. Her style is energetic and joyful with detailed instructions that support even a beginner to feel confident in her class. However, her ultimate goal is to help her students find the peace within. Trained in meditation and relaxation techniques, Shauna is skilled at giving her students an experience of rest and deep relaxation.
Shauna received her Bachelor of Physical Education from Dalhousie University in Canada and spent the next 10 years as a Health and Fitness Consultant before joined a Fortune 500 company in sales and marketing. After losing her dad, mom and sweet brother to cancer, Shauna was inspired to bring yoga into the lives of others. She completed 500-hours of YogaWorks teacher training and enthusiastically continues her education with an emphasis on Yoga Therapy including functional anatomy, Yoga as Cancer Therapy, Yoga Nidra and Yoga Wall. Shauna is a Street Yoga volunteer and is committed to supporting those living with cancer. She is a member of the Yoga Alliance, The International Association of Yoga Therapists and YogaWorks Alumni Association.
