Life’s short, live strong
‘I love what I do. And what I do is to help people enjoy their lives by
actively promoting the premise that healthy bodies contribute to healthy
minds. My philosophy is simple – That wellness through activity transcends
barriers; there is something for everyone, regardless of your age, ability,
mobility or level of fitness. This premise of inclusion means I may be
running with a client in the morning, or working with an aqua-phobic client
in the swimming pool at lunch, or organising (and participating in..) the
fitness of our local ‘mum’s soccer team that evening. It’s about living and
breathing the ideal. With me, my clients get 100% of my energy and
passion for sport and fitness as a medium to wellness. It’s about imparting
the skills and knowledge so they can take control of their lives and make
educated decisions about the path to a healthy life which best suites them
and their families.
I have two young children, both boys and both delightful handfuls. So full
of life and energy, they keep me focused and targeted on the lifestyle
choices we make. I learn from them every day, and as active children I and
myself more active in their worlds than mine. This has promoted a long
standing interest in developing youth in sport specific disciplines in this
region. Quite simply, on the competitive front, today’s youth are
tomorrow’s champions!
You should probably know that over the course of my many years, I have
worn many hats, worked in many varying jobs and traveled the world
extensively. But this ‘profession’ is my calling. There is no other place I’d
rather be and no other job I’d rather be doing. And it’s a pretty special
place I live in. It’s full of wonderful giving people, going about their daily
lives amongst epic backdrops of snow clad peaks and teal lakes. I consider
myself fortunate to live, work and play in such a captive environment and
my goal is to stay true to these ideals - we have one shot at these lives of
ours, so let’s make the most of it! Inclusion – Life’s short, live strong.
