Sadie is the founder and owner of barre3, an exercise studio blending the grace of ballet barre work with principles from yoga and Pilates. Sadie created barre3 based on her 15 years teaching a variety of group fitness formats, most recently The Dailey Method. The Dailey Method is a chain of Bay Area studios inspired by the Lotte Berke Method, gaining popularity in LA, The Bay Area and NYC. In recent years Sadie's personal yoga practice has deepened and inspired her to work for YogaWorks, a family of yoga studios based in LA. She developed BarWorks (a similar class to barre3) for YogaWorks and leads instructor training program.
The 3 in barre3 symbolizes balance, Sadie's core essence. Balance in the body, in the mind, and in life. Her classes are designed to transform the body to one of equal balance, strength and flexibility. And, the company she is building is based on the notion that work is a balanced and integrated part of life.
Prior to becoming a business owner, Sadie spent 10 years in marketing and operations working directly for the founder and CEO of 24 Hour Fitness. In this role Sadie helped grow 24 Hour Fitness into the largest chain of health clubs worldwide.
A native of Eugene, Oregon she is thrilled to be back home to raise her two kids and develop a Portland based company with her husband.
