Susie McLachlan has been teaching in the health and fitness industry for over 21 years, including periods of teaching overseas as an aerobic instructor. Her love for health and fitness led her to discover yoga and she has been practicing and studying its ancient teachings for the past nine years. Susie runs Yoga Health and Healing, a boutique yoga studio in the northern suburbs of Perth.
Susie completed the Holistic Yoga Teacher Training Course in 2005 at Greenwood Yoga Academy and is a member of Yoga Australia. She is also pregnancy yoga certified. Her teaching style integrates Hatha Vinyasa, Pranayama, meditation and traditional philosophies of yoga. She enjoys studying with different teachers locally, interstate and overseas. She also especially loves the practice of Kirtan.
Susie has the ability to make everyone feel special; her warmth and humour are some of the reasons why her yoga and fitness classes are so popular. When she’s off the mat, you will find her cooking (she is renowned for her delicious cakes and treats), at the beach and busy raising her four children.
Susie’s main goal in life is to be happy, find balance and to continue improving herself as a mother, teacher and friend. She would also like, one day, to study yoga therapy, partake in a raw-food cooking course and revisit Byron Bay. Her favourite lululemon manifesto line is “Breathe deeply and appreciate the moment, living in the moment could be the meaning of life”.
