Paul DeAngelis is the Founder and Director of Total Balance Wellness Clinic and Fitness Studio, Founder and Director of Mountain Climbing Adventures and Director of Sutherland Academy of Osteopathy. Paul has over 15 years experience in the health, fitness and adventure travel industry.
He began his training in martial arts, studying both external and internal forms. Particularly, GoJu Ryu, Ju-Jitsu, Tai Chi Chaun and Qi Gong.. He has studied with some of the best teachers in Canada, U.S.A., and China and he began teaching in 1995. Seeing not only the martial side, but the medical side, he began his studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1997, he graduated from the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with Dr. Lam. He continued his internship in Boston with Dr. Tam.
In 1997, Paul founded Total Balance in Mississauga and opened his practice to the public. With his wife, Christine De Bellefeuille they expanded the facility and opened there doors in Oakville in May 2000.
One of Paul's great passions is Mountain Climbing, from alpine, to rock, to ice. Having climbed extensively in Canada, the U.S, the Andes, the Himalayas and in Africa, Paul is now bringing this passion to other in the world of high altitude climbing with his company Mountain Climbing Adventures. Founded in 2001, he offers expeditions to South America, Asia and Africa, also offering training climbs in Canada and the U.S. To this day Paul still personally leads all expeditions.
Furthering his passion in holistic health, Paul opened the Sutherland Academy of Osteopathy with Dr. Guy Voyer in 2003. The Academy brings greater awareness to the public, and educates some of the best Osteopaths in the industry through a comprehensive 6 year program.
