Danielle Tafeen

They say that the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.

Although Danielle Tafeen never felt like she lost her small town North Carolina roots, she did find herself developing a passion for health and the human body while getting a BFA in Theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She studied movement and nutrition as a personal trainer and after years in the gym developing physical strength she desired to expand her emotional, mental and spiritual fortitude.

She sought for change from within and discovered the power of meditation and shortly thereafter the transformational power of yoga. After years of practice she completed the 300-hour Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2009 with her holy teachers and living masters, Sharon Gannon and David Life and the 800-hour Jivamukti Yoga Apprenticeship program with her beloved mentor Monica Jaggi. She realized that sharing the gift of yoga and teaching others to find themselves in the practice was her highest path and greatest joy.

This desire to serve others drives Danielle forward. She has tremendous faith in the transformative power of a daily yoga practice as she knows the grace, serenity and joy it has brought to her own life.

Danielle encourages her students to go on a deep exploration of who they are, beyond their insecurities and perceived limitations. She hopes that through her classes students experience greater love and compassion for themselves and others.

She is super excited and honored to be a part of the lululemon team and hopes to continue losing and finding herself in service to others through sharing her love of yoga.
