Tala has always had a passion for leading a healthy lifestyle and has made sure to
get the academic background that would support her passion! As an accredited
Kinesiologist with the Federation des Kinesiologues du Quebec, she went on to
obtain a Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology. She has taught at
the university level, worked in anti-doping, and trained everyone from older
aged adults, athletes, and teenagers to everyone in between. She even went on
to complete two years of a doctorate degree in Health and Exercise Psychology.
However, it was only after those two years that she realized that she was happiest
when she was training clients, getting involved in the community and being with
Following her instints, she very recently withdrew from her phd, and made the leap
to start her own in-home personal training and lifestyle consulting business. Life
is chaotic at the best of times, but Tala really believes that everyone can live the
lifestyle they want, and feel great. It just takes a holistic and sustainable approach
to wellbeing. With “a body, a mind, a philosophy” as her slogan, she provides
each client with a personalized program that not only helps them achieve their
physical goals, but also works with them on proper goal setting, time-management,
motivation, confidence, and healthy eating tips! Her focus is on good technique,
proprioception (your awareness of your body in space), core strength, and efficient,
fun workouts that have you sweating and feeling great.
When Tala isn’t driving around town training clients, she is giving outdoor
workouts, blogging on her website, running, always learning, being goofy, and
practicing yoga to keep herself zen.
