For Linda, fitness is a way of life – almost a religion! Her philosophy is “what will not kill you will only make you stronger”. She uses this mantra as her inspiration to continually renew her skills through education and experimentation. Linda loves what she does, and loves the people that she is fortunate enough to help and to meet.
Linda’s varied career in fitness began at the tender age of 5, when she began her illustrious career as a ballet dancer. It came to an abrupt end however when she refused to wear a tutu and leotards. She needed to work on her physique before that would happen! During her formative years Linda participated in a variety of sports and activities including: gymnastics, volleyball, badminton, track and field and cheerleading.
Linda studied clinical Psychology at McGill with the goal of eventually opening her own practice. The 80’s, Jane Fonda’s workout, legwarmers, and the movie Flashdance, inspired her to take up aerobic classes, which led her into the weight room and before long earning her personal trainer certification.
Linda then spent 10 years as a volunteer trainer at the West Island YMCA, where she had the opportunity to train many special health populations, such as Autism, the seeing impaired, and heart attack victims.
Since, Linda has also learned kickboxing and yoga. She incorporates these activities into her personal training sessions with her clients. And has earned a reputation for her bootcamp yogalates!
Monster Gym became her next home, as she began training pro motocross athletes, pro beach volleyball players, marathoners, triathletes, cyclists, golfers, hockey players, a concert violinist as well as a host of weekend warrior athletes.
Today Linda is the official trainer for The Aldo Group, and has proudly consulted and built up a very successful corporate gym in their head office. Among her specialties, are Boot camp/boxing, core and Bosu/stability ball training. “Come to me with a goal and together we’ll make it happen!”
