Jocelyne Mahoney

Jocelyne Mahoney began her career in the fitness industry way back in l985 when she became a YMCA-certified Fitness Instructor. She started off teaching high-impact aerobic classes and quickly added low impact and The Step to her repertoire along with muscle conditioning classes to suit the ever-changing needs of her participants. In 1995 she started her personal training career and quickly added indoor cycling to her teaching abilities as well as taking on the challenge of participating in 5K, 10K, 15K and half-marathon road races and in Olympic-distance triathlon races in and around the Montreal area. After fulfilling many personal fitness goals, she decided to take her fitness career in another direction and began to teach yoga and pilates. She presently is the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at the West Island YMCA and continues to teach cycling, pilates and yoga as well as personal training her private clients and, of course, always finding the time for her own personal fitness.
Her husband, John, and their four children: Darryl, Adrian, Liam and Ryley as well as the family pets: Sophie the five-year old Golden Retriever and the two cats Calvin and Motley make her life complete and full of love and joy. Her mum, Lily, is a constant source of inspiration and she only hopes to be half as energetic and motivated at 88 and Lily had NINE children - Jocelyne's the baby!
