Just when I think I have a handle on seeing the positive intentions of every human being, someone cuts me off on the highway and I loose it! Life is indeed a journey and we need the little reminders to show us we still have growing to do. For me yoga and moving my physical body is a way to cope with these little reminders. In my classes you'll find I share a joke, a challenge, a life lesson of my own so that you can feel comfortable sharing a part of yourself with me, your best downward dog or that your hips aren't as you'd like them to be.

I, like many others in the wellness industry, seem to collect certifications so I am certainly "qualified" to take you on a journey of asanas, chakras, meditation and movement however, in my opinion what matters most is how you feel during the time we share together.

During the first half of my life I let my life guide me instead of me guiding where I wanted to go. This was essentially because I didn't really know where I wanted to go, the first thing that came to mind was to stay in Lake Tahoe and remain a ski bum but when my family moved to Toronto that "dream" subsided. After graduating from UofT I ended up in a mediocre career within a large telecommunications company. At that time I turned to teaching fitness and practicing yoga as an outlet for stress and self expression but the idea of being able to support myself financially with a hobby that I loved seemed impossible. I held on to that limiting belief, continued to suppress who I really was and floundered as a technical support manager (boy was I bad at that!). One evening, sitting on my bedroom floor I realized "I can not be in the same place next year without an additional certification", the RYT200. Thank goodness I took the training when I did because six months later I was laid off from my corporate gig. That was such a blessing!

Today I am a freelance instructor who brings physical movement into corporations and residential condominiums. Because the space is free, this is a financially feasible way for people to experience classes allowing them to discover their internal strength and handle the everyday reminders that we have more growing to do. My new career as a NLP practitioner, Hatha yoga, Pilates mat and Groove Method facilitator has allowed me to be myself 100% of the time, what a relief because the stress put on our body when we try to be someone else literally makes us ill. I believe in self expression not suppression and want to spread this message. Hopefully I will meet you on my journey and you will share a life lesson with me, maybe you can teach me how to keep my cool on the highway?
