Emma Palmer, E-RYT-500 is the Founder, Principal Teacher & Director of Studies at Moksha Yoga, Bentleigh, Victoria that first opened its doors in February 2005.
Emma’s passion for Yoga began in her early teens when she picked up her first Yoga Book and started to explore the philosophy, science and practices of Yoga. Her commitment to asana practice grew much deeper in 1998 when she started to travel around Australia. Emma has continued to deepen her knowledge and experience of Yoga whilst undertaking additional Yoga studies in both Australia and the United Kingdom since she completed her training in 2003.
Emma is a highly respected Yoga Teacher and Teacher Trainer with a strong reputation for her in-depth, applied knowledge of gross anatomy, systemic physiology, energy anatomy and Yoga as a therapy. As a result Emma has practiced as a Yoga Therapist since 2005 working with individual students who are managing physical and psychological injuries. Emma remains a dedicated student of Yoga and continues her Yoga studies at every given opportunity. Her knowledge and passion of yoga is profound, and she has devoted her life to sharing that love of Yoga with others.
Today, Emma teaches classes that are dynamic and challenging to both the body and mind. Her classes are interwoven with the holistic benefits of the practice including how asana benefits the internal organs and systems as well as integrating her love of Yoga philosophy. Her classes are a fusion of strong, powerful and energetic asana and pranayama combined with a deeply spiritual undertone providing a holistic Yoga experience. Emma created Moksha Yoga with the view of creating a community of dedicated students and teachers, and she continues to openly share her knowledge, passion and love for Yoga.
Emma is a recognised E-RYT-500 Yoga Teacher accredited through Yoga Alliance, is a Member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and has taught over 3,900 hours of Yoga classes, courses, workshops, master classes and intensives as well as YTT Lectures, encompassing a wide variety of Yoga topics since 2003. She has a Certificate in Yoga Philosophy, Diploma of Hatha Yoga Teaching in excess of over 1100 hours of Teacher Training, Reiki Degree Levels 1 & 2 and has reached 3rd year in the Bachelor of Health Science Degree (Naturopathy, SSNT).
