My name is Alex Ryan. I am a qualified personal trainer and run coach.
As a keen runner, having completed five marathons, many half marathons and lots of fun runs over the years, I fully understand the physical and mental benefits that come as a result of incorporating regular exercise into your life.
Exercise has enabled me to manage a busy full time career while raising three children. Whether it is a run on your own or getting together with a group, there is nothing better than feeling strong and connected. As my children grew into teenagers I realised that full time corporate work was no longer an option. I needed to be around more to help them navigate the complexities of adolescence. I decided to turn my passion into a career and became a qualified personal trainer.
I run fitness training sessions for teenage girls encouraging girls to get outside in the fresh air, meet others and make friends and learning to love the feeling that comes with being fit and strong. I also train women over 40 focussing on functional movement and free weight training to improve the way we move in everyday life. Again the aim of these groups is to have fun while training. I am currently embarking on a new area of special needs training – developing a program more in tune with needs of the individuals on the autism spectrum.
If you would like to make an enquiry about personal training or joining one of my groups please feel welcome to contact me.
Alex has Certificates III and IV from the Personal Training Academy, and is a qualified spin instructor.
