While all of her high school classmates couldn't wait to get to the scrimmage part of field hockey practice, Rachelle quickly learned that she looked forward to the team runs. It wasn't long before she joined the cross country, indoor and outdoor track teams. "I started running with my mom when I was a kid," remembers Rachelle. In her 20's, chilly New Jersey winters drove her indoors for the warmth of a yoga studio. That spring, Rachelle noticed the tremendous benefits that her yoga practice had on her running performance. Within two years she received her Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training from Yogawood in Collingswood, NJ. Rachelle enjoys teaching everyone, especially athletes, the benefits of yoga through active, flowing and strength-building classes. In 2011, the warm New Jersey summers led Rachelle to a Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga class where she was captivated by the new challenges and benefits of yoga on the water. Rachelle taught her first SUP Yoga class in 2012. "I am fascinated, humbled and inspired by the physical and mental benefits of running yoga, and stand up paddle boarding," says Rachelle. "I am thankful to practice them and share them."
