Ellen was born and raised in Colorado and has always embraced the Colorado active lifestyle.
She was a competitive diver, is a skier, bike rider, and a hiker. She enjoys travel on a tandem bike with her husband.
They have vacationed in Italy, France, and Sicily on their tandem bike, enjoying self guided tours.
Ellen has 2 fantastic (adult) children.
For 21 years Ellen taught Jacki Sorensen’s Aerobic Dancing and Strongstep classes, she discovered yoga several years ago and fell in love it.
She trained with Yoga Fit and began teaching at 24 Hour Fitness in Aurora in 2005 (at the age of 52!)
Teaching at 24 Hour Fitness she is able to reach out to the general population and share her joy and discovery that each yoga pose offers. Her classes include members in their 20’s all the way up to their 70’s.
Her philosophy of yoga is to make it enjoyable and she offers a challenging pose or flow in each of her classes. She believes that yoga is calming, yet invigorating and can change your out- look on life with it’s positive influence. Yoga is life, and good for every stage of life!
Laughter is important, and it is a part of each class. (And she’s coming to grips with her graying hair)
Ellen is consistently adding new movements, flows and poses to keep yoga fresh and enjoyable for her classes.
She currently teaches classes at the Aurora 24 Hour Fitness club on Parker and Quincy and the new 24 Hour Super Sport on Parker and Arapahoe.
