Mindy stumbled onto the yoga path almost 6 years ago and has never looked back. A graduate of The Forest Academy’s 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course was the beginning of many hours of formal training, practice, and self-study. Mindy has found yoga and Ayurveda to help her overcome many obstacles and has transformed her life in profound ways.
Currently Mindy is pursuing Anusara yoga training and has completed the 108 Anusara Immersion with her beloved teachers - Todd Norian and Ann Green. Aspiring to become a fully certified Anusara Yoga Teacher she plans to complete this in the next few years of her adventure. In April of this last year she we able to attend classes lead by the founder of Anusara Yoga, John Friend in Florida. Mindy is studying on-line Ayurveda courses from India, teaches workshops and does personal assessments in the field of Ayurveda – The Science of Life.
One of the most rewarding part of teaching yoga for Mindy is to see students awakening, to see them opening up to the bigger picture. Teaching yoga to the men at Quniton-Warner House, a program for men overcoming addictions, has been a truly healing and inspiring experience.
The Mindful Body has been happy to be part of many fundraising efforts in the community. As a member of Business Marketing of Women, one of the oldest networking organizations in London, she has had the experience to be part of fundraising for several charitable events, such as Denim and Diamonds raising money for SARI, Animal Alert, The MS Society, Hope’s Garden, and other organizations within the community making a difference. Mindy feels that giving back to the community is very important and we must practice our own dharma as best we can.
The studio is open to all levels of practitioners and encourages kula (community of the heart) by which students feel connected to this spiritual path, to themselves, other students and the community at large. It is Mindy’s hope to inspire students to practice yoga and awaken to a spiritual path to find peace in life.
