Born in Ottawa, Canada, Mercedes has spent most of her life studying creative movement and its use as a form of self-expression and spiritual exploration.
By her own admission, Mercedes' love affair with yoga did not begin as some full fledge, running dive into the ocean. Rather it was more an experience of dipping a big toe into a vast, unending body of water, testing it, observing, noting its coolness inviting you in further, only to run back to the security of her metaphorical blanket on the shore.
In the beginning, Mercedes practised yoga now and again, with no real consistency or notice of what was going on around me. Slowly and steadily though, over time she noticed that the more she got on to the mat, the more things were different when she got off of it.
It was during her time living in California and working in the entertainment industry that she began to study yoga.
As her studies and passion for yoga grew steadily more intense, Mercedes gradually moved into teaching.
Having studied various forms of yoga the primary style she now teaches is Vinyasa Flow. Most of her studies have been in California where she has completed many different certifications under many wonderful teachers. Mercedes' latest teacher training intensive was with Prana Flow Yoga creator Shiva Rea.
Mercedes is now an E-RYT through Yoga Alliance, and conducts a 200hr Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training at her health retreat in Devon called Yeotown, a haven for greater health and wellbeing.
As an avid traveller, she also conducts yoga retreats, workshops and classes internationally.

Tuesdays: 11:30am - 1pm, Triyoga Primrose Hill
Tuesdays: 6:45pm - 8:15pm. Evolve Wellness Centre
Saturdays: 4:15pm - 5:45pm. Triyoga Primrose Hill.
Sundays: 11:00am - 12:30pm. Evolve Wellness Centre.
