Erin Smith was born with deformed legs. A kid's class helped her learn at an early age how yoga can unlock the limitless potential of the human spirit. She is now the blessed owner and director of the OM place in Winchester, where her vinyasa classes focus on alignment and biomechanics with a playful application of dharmic philosophy. She is an E-RYT and a member of the International Yoga Therapists Association. She has a rich background in dance, gymnastics, martial arts, Body-Mind Centering, Thai Massage bodywork, Yoga as Therapy, and Transcendental Meditation. When she's not on the mat, she's probably running, hiking, meditating, or enjoying another meal.
Erin is currently obsessed with Ganesha, barefoot running, pink peonies, New Orleans, her kindle, red wine, sushi, Mary Oliver, the color yellow, all music but especially the Counting Crows, belly laughs, infrared saunas, Barcelona, her vitamix, and every hip opener she's ever met.
Erin lives on the most beautiful 9 acres in Clark County with her husband David, daughter Izzie, and an ever-changing menagerie of adopted animals (including a raccoon named Flash).
Erin is super psyched to be the first ambassador at lululemon Lexington and looks forward to helping every person in town find the activity that allows their inner light to shine. Erin has published many e-mails and was recently award the Best Mom in the World Honor by the smallest and funniest human on the planet. Reach her at erin@theOMplace.net
