Ki F. Kosut, DCH,LMT,NLP Practitioner,Reiki Master and, Pilates/Chi-Yoga instructor, founded the Ki-Atsu Institute for Healing Arts, LLC in 2001. The Institute was the culmination of twenty years of experience in the movement industry. Ki Kosut was born in France and spent her youth living both in France and Australia. In her teen years in Australia, she began to become interested in the bodybuilding and fitness industry, as well as the Healing Arts. She became an aerobics and bodybuilding instructor, as well as a consultant in the field of healing. Ki Kosut then moved to the island of Vanuatu, where she owned a gym and spa for several years. She then decided to relocate to America to pursue her bodybuilding career. She lived in LA and trained and worked as a personal trainer at the Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach, considered to be the home of bodybuilding. She enjoyed great success as a bodybuilder, winning many competitions, including the coveted Ms. LA title. Shortly after winning Ms. LA however, Ki Kosut sustained a career ending injury to her back. After sustaining the injury, her doctors recommended surgery to repair the damage caused by the injury. Ki Kosut eschewed the idea of surgery and chose to search for ways to heal her body without having surgery. She explored acting in the theatre, and worked at better understanding the character armor that forms with emotional scarring.

Kosut’s research led her to appreciate the role of the mind body connection, and how the beliefs and memories of a person can manifest physically. Kosut’s research also led her to rediscover the benefits of massage and bodywork in the maintenance of health, prevention of injury, and rehabilitation from injury. Kosut also researched the work of Joseph Pilates, whose work and exercises were long used by many performers and athletes to build core strength and prevent injury.

Upon rehabilitating herself from her injury, Ki Kosut formulated a vision to rediscover a career as a healer and teacher. Kosut’s own recovery was achieved by utilizing several different modalities, and her intent was to become a healer who would incorporate several different modalities to help her clients overcome the challenges in their lives, as well as to teach these modalities to others.

Ki Kosut is a graduate of the Nevada School of Massage Therapy, where she studied and instructed massage and movement therapies, received her PHD in Clinical Hypnotherapy, and Alternative Health from Albert University, and studied Pilates all over the world. She has had the privilege of studying with some of the world's experts in the field, such as Body Building World Champion Charles Glass , and Judith Aston for movement, bodywork and ergonomic coaching. Judith Aston and husband Brian Linderoth have both greatly influenced her work, allowing her to finely tune her skills, as well as making her a highly demanded facilitator and oustanding instructor in the field of the Healing Arts. She is a certified Aston Patterning Practiotner and Aston Pilates Instructor. Ki Kosut continues to pursue her education in healing modalities and will graduate as an Ayurvedic Clinical Specialist in 2008.

The mission of Ki Kosut and the Ki-Atsu Institute for Healing Arts is: To provide to students the highest quality educational experience and to stimulate the desire to constantly improve ones knowledge.
