Lynn graduated in 1997 with a degree in Physical Therapy from University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida where she has happily settled in to the community. Born and raised in Canada, Lynn’s early interests included gymnastics and traditional Scottish dance. As she pursued her career in Physical Therapy, Lynn became aware of the Pilates method and the rehabilitation applications of the movement philosophy. She completed her certification in Pilates for Rehabilitation through Polestar Education in 2000 and began assisting with teaching the studio as well as the rehab courses in Miami while establishing Synergy Studio, a pilates studio and physical therapy clinic in Jacksonville which currently has two locations. Pilates has changed Lynn’s life from a personal fitness aspect as well as from a professional aspect, goals are reached in rehabilitation more quickly and patients are so much happier!

The model of Synergy Studio was based on a need to change the current approach to rehabilitation in an insurance driven environment where patients are seen as diagnoses and treated only for their complaint rather than being viewed as an entire individual. The true meaning of a holistic approach to wellness is embraced at Synergy Studio where patients become clients as they transition from pain and dysfunction ( Physical Therapy) to pain free and active ( Pilates classes) under the supervision of our well qualified and dedicated staff. The studio opened in 2000 and in 2009 is stronger than ever as our reputation spreads through the medical community and the community at large.

Lynn is committed to her own continuing education and expansion of knowledge as well as that of her employees. The staff of Synergy Studio represents some of the best local practitioners in Pilates and Physical Therapy with expertise and experience in such varied diagnostic areas as women’s health, osteoporosis, pre and post-natal, orthopedic and sports injuries, neck and back pain, balance deficits, post-mastectomy, pre-surgical strengthening, sports specific strengthening, and the list goes on and on!
