Doris Dodge-Thews has been a professional in the fitness industry for over 25 years. She was a College athlete and then became a national fitness expert / educator and now owns her own personal training business, nThewsdFitness. In 2008, Doris was proud of being named a Lululemon Ambassador in Irvine. Doris created and leads the Irvine Lululemon Run club as well as leads fitness events and classes for Lululemon. She wore Lululemon in all her marathons in 2008 including the Boston marathon. Doris was a featured speaker at the San Francisco Women’s Nike Marathon. She has been featured or interviewed by various publications as a fitness expert including the LA Times, Fitness Magazine and several fitness blogs. Doris is a Master Group Exercise Instructor for the largest health club in the nation, 24 Hour Fitness, as well as an Area Promotions Director and Presenter for Powder Blue Productions, the creator of Turbo Kick, PIYO and Hip Hop Hustle. As an international Fitness Presenter/Educator, Doris has been the lead fitness personality in several Fitness Videos /DVD’s and print work and has appeared in national commercials. Doris has assisted in the creative development of several Group X programs and formats for several fitness companies. She has presented at World IDEA “Focus on Management” due to her successful experience as a Divisional Director for 24 Hour Fitness. She has also been a published author in IDEA Health magazine and Fitness Source as well as several other fitness publications. Doris has evolved in an industry that changes everyday. Her ultimate reward is when her clients realize they were capable of achieving what they previously thought was impossible. Doris believes there is no quick fix to health. She educates her clients on a change of lifestyle that will keep them healthy and happy for the rest of their lives. Doris’ motivation is to touch each and every client or participant. She teaches to dig deep and find the greatest potential that lies within them. Doris' motto is “Work hard and Play hard!” and always brings her motivational style to whatever she is doing. Her greatest joy is working out with her family; especially running the 2009 Boston marathon with her husband and having her teenage son a part of her running crew. On a weekly basis she enjoys having her son and/or husband take her Group X classes, running, surfing, or playing a round of golf as a family.
Education - Chapman University - BA in Communication/Public Relations & Commercial Art minor.
