Amy Cady - ALUMNI

Amy Cady, owner of ABC Pilates in Laguna Niguel, CA is passionate about helping people seek healthier lives. She also believes in developing a community of innovative and caring instructors. These two aspects of her philosophy are what makes ABC Pilates a very unique studio.

Amy has an extensive list of certifications and experience, which she enthusiastically shares with her staff and clients. She embraces and brings to the studio a fun and creative environment in which care is taken to provide a healthy outlook on fitness and wellness and supports clients in their discovery that a fit, strong healthy body is achievable.

As a mother of two children, Amy is committed to empowering women to be confident mothers and have a healthy and happy experience through their pregnancies and long after. While pregnant with her first child, Amy found Pilates to be very beneficial to her own overall health. However, at that time there was not enough information on Pilates and pregnancy and Amy began doing some research to find the safest exercises. By her second pregnancy she found comprehensive information on pre and post natal Pilates. Through one of her mentor’s, Carolyne Anthony, the Director of the Center for Women’s Fitness, she dedicated more of her trainings to pre and post natal Pilates. She is also one of the few Master Instructors for the Center of Women’s Fitness where she trains and certifies instructors to teach pre and post natal Pilates for Southern California.

Amy has also worked on the dance faculty and has started Pilates programs for several colleges in the Orange County, CA area. She holds a B.S. ed in performance and choreography from the University of Georgia and has an MFA in Dance from the University of California Irvine with an emphasis in computer technology.

Amy is dedicated to the growth and development of her studio but she also recognizes there is infinite room for excellence in her field of study. She encourages not only her staff but also her fellow colleagues to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for Pilates. Her goal is to develop a strong community of people who work towards helping our society be healthy and happy.
