Crossfit Oahu

After completing my education in nutrition and public health, I moved to the islands about three years ago in pursuit of a unique and exciting opportunity to grow and learn. I have been involved in the nutrition and fitness field in several capacities for over 8 years and competed in a variety of sports, including downhill skiing and softball, in high school and college. After only a few months on Oahu, I discovered Crossfit Oahu (CFO) and have gone from one of the first clients to a trainer and staff dietitian. I am currently a Certified Crossfit Instructor at CFO and have been committed to the Crossfit philosophy for over 2 years. Therefore, my "sports" are extremely varied, including olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, kettlebells, powerlifting, etc. My next adventure at CFO includes building a non-profit organization to bring Crossfit to populations who may not otherwise have access to CrossFit and its world class fitness and nutrition modalities.
My full-time position at UH Manoa is a Life Coach for people with diabetes, which is helping me hone my communication and coaching skills to help people achieve their most important goals.
Although I have two wonderful sisters in Michigan, I am very proud to be a Big Sister with BBBS Honolulu. The aloha spirit and awesome friends have inspired me to commit to learning more about the culture and history of Hawaii, give back to the community and aspire to create positive change from the inside out.
