My name is Mel Irons and I may actually have the best job in the world. I run a little business called Booty. It is a group fitness business, where a lovely gang of regular and new exercisers get together for running, boxing, group outdoor training, indoor classes like circuit, weights and spin, and we round it all off with a whole lot of Pilates. Booty is based in sunny Sandy Bay and various sports grounds around Hobart. Booty turns 7 years old this December!

My passion is overall health and well-being; and my background is not only personal training and fitness instructing but also Psychology. I work closely with my clients and their other health professionals in the areas of nutrition, mental health and general health coaching. Late 2012 should see the end of my PhD at the School of Psychology at UTAS. With more spare time on my hands for the development of the business in 2013… look out!

I adore the philosophies of Lululemon, and feel that my own business is truly aligned with the brand – I believe in the importance of a focus on community and partnership. I am so excited to be a Lululemon Ambassador and can’t wait to keep following all the good things they are doing in Tassie.
