Equinox, Fitness Incentive
Dana has combined her passion for fitness with roles as a group fitness instructor and certified personal trainer. Dana loves variety in her workouts and enjoys teaching a combination of high intensity cardio and sculpting classes, TRX Suspension Training and her new fave, ViPR.
A career in fitness wasn’t a stretch for Dana. From snowboarding to martial arts training she was always doing something active and, for as long as she can remember, sports have played a large role in her life. Dana started her career in the Sports Marketing industry working in soccer and ultimately with the U.S. Men’s & Women’s National Teams during the 2000 Olympics and 2002 World Cup. Subsequently she found herself working with clients in action sports, professional golf and the NCAA.
Finding herself in the gym more & more, Dana started to get heavily involved with group fitness and was always focused on how she could help others get the most out of their workouts. It all came quite naturally to her. After becoming a certified group fitness instructor, her desire to continue learning and help others achieve their fitness goals, lead her to become a certified personal trainer. Whether in the group environment or one-on-one, Dana genuinely enjoys motivating & supporting people as they push past their comfort zone and realize their maximum fitness potential.
In her own life, Dana is always looking for new challenges, most recently training for & completing the New York City Marathon in 2010 with her husband, Chad. Having only completed her 1st 5K a year before, accomplishing this goal was the perfect way for Dana to lead by example, showing her belief that you can do anything you set your mind to. Appropriately, Dana’s favorite quote is from Henry Ford: "Whether you believe you can or believe you can't, you're probably right."
Dana is honored to teach at Equinox in Woodbury, Roslyn & Great Neck and at Fitness Incentive in Babylon.
