After years of playing basketball, football, soccer and running track and field, Rob Tubajon decided that he was going to be the next Michael Jordan of the NBA. When that dream sadly ended along with his growth spurt, he decided to stay active in the field of fitness.

Out of personal interest, he took a few BCRPA fitness certifications in 1995 and realized that going to school for fitness was a lot more fun than going to school for math. So Rob enrolled at UBC, and in 2000, received his Bachelors Degree in Human Kinetics. Along the way, he worked in corporate health, taught circuit, spinning, and core classes, but found that one on one personal training was what he enjoyed the most. Becoming one of Chip Wilson’s trainers in 2001 helped him with his ambition for personal training, and in 2002, he and Pieter van der Linde co-founded Endorphin Junkies Personal Training Inc.

At the time, Endorphin Junkies was the “Jerry McGuire” of personal training. “All we need is one client” was their mantra, and it literally was in the slow going first few months of business. Today, Endorphin Junkies has six trainers and over a hundred and fifty clients, with Chip and many of his Lulu staffers among them. Rob attributes the success of EJ to plain old luck, the ability of each of their trainers to form meaningful relationships with their clients, and having as much fun as possible which helps people stick to their fitness regiments. With experience in training a wide variety of individuals at different ages and different fitness levels, Rob prides himself on being able to adapt his training to whatever each clients needs. The fact that he absolutely loves what he does helps as well.
