Ana Saroj

Ana Saroj has been dancing all her life, with formal training starting at age 9, studying Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop, where she grew up, in Santa Cruz, California. While attending college in San Francisco, Ana discovered Salsa, and the world of Latin Dance.

In 2003, Ana became a member of Rica Salsa Dance Company, and began teaching, choreographing, performing and competing with Ricardo Tellez and Rica Salsa. She taught and performed for salsa clubs, private and corporate parties in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has performed for and attended numerous International Salsa Congress's, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. Ana and Rica Salsa Placed 1st in The Salsa Dance Troupe Competition in San Francisco, in May 2005.Ana was the Women’s 1st place Winner for the Bay Area Salsa Shines competition in San Francisco , October 2004.

Ana returned to Miami in 2005, as it is her birthplace and has always been her second home. She was co-director of Salsa Karibe Dance Company for 1 year, and then became Henry Herrera’s Professional Partner in 2006.

Ana has also performed as a back up dancer for artists such as Will Smith and has taught and performed for Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Bruce Willis, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, among others.

Now she is making San Francisco her home once again, where she is heading up the latin dance program and Zumba classes at Sportsclub LA/SF, San Francisco Bay Club & Crunch Fitness SF. With her unique, sexy style mixing Hip Hop and Latin Dance, and her passion to perform and teach, Ana has become one to watch!
