A lifelong believer in preventive health, Meris combines a demanding physical asana practice with deep, calming breath to form Power Vinyasa yoga. Trained at the world famous Baptiste Power Yoga Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts, she decided to branch out on her own and bring this athletic style of yoga to the Pacific Northwest, a place where disciplined athleticism is a way of life.
Meris has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology including an internship in physical therapy. She began her life in ballet slippers, tumbled onto the gymnastics mat, hit the road running and pumped iron in the gym. Finally, she discovered yoga, which she has found to be the most holistic approach to mindful fitness. She is always interested in personalizing the practice to meet the needs and limitations of the ever-transforming student.
