Lauren Wessinger

Karmany/Urban/Temple Road

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 15 years, starting in high school with who I consider my guru, my mother. As a student for half my life I decided to take my practice further, leaving my fast paced job in fashion to deepen my practice both physically and philosophically. The training program I attended at Aledo Yoga led us to pull from past experience and current lessons and create our own version of what yoga means to us. We were given the freedom to create our classes pulling from our favorite pieces from many schools, while still learning anatomy, philosophy, asana and how to live yoga on a daily basis. I teach prenatal and challenging vinyasa flow classes (set to great music!). My intention with my students is to lovingly challenge and liberate both body and mind. The goal... Read the profile >>

Indigo Yoga

Birthday:September 2 Studio: Indigo Yoga Hometown:Port Lavaca, Texas Favorite Quote:"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated... Read the profile >>

Bikram Yoga of Fort Worth

How long have you been practicing Bikram Yoga? I started practicing Bikram Yoga 10 years ago as a cross training activity when I was kickboxing and boxing – which was slowly breaking my body. I always knew I would end up doing Bikram Yoga full time due to the impact of those sports. When/Where did you graduate from Bikram Yoga teacher training? I graduated from Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Spring of 2011 in Los Angeles – an experience that touches my life every day. Why did you decide to become a teacher? I decided to become a teacher because every time I took a Bikram Yoga class all I wanted to do was teach. What is your favorite thing about teaching? It’s difficult to choose one favorite thing about teaching. Between the joy of watching people transform before my... Read the profile >>
