Nicolette's yoga journey started not long ago, but feeling like there was lost time to make up for, as she'd never experienced anything as kinesthetically & metaphysically familiar, she began taking several classes a week until she just knew, inherently, that yoga was her soul mate and would be an essential part of her life. Yet soon thereafter through an intense and dedicated practice, the fat shed and Aileen discovered that yoga's benefits offered much more than losing weight. Since childhood, Aileen suffered from acute eczema, asthma, and allergies. In fact, the allergies were quite severe and she resorted to allergen immunotherapy. Enduring the allergy shot regimen for six years, she finally stopped after developing an on going yoga practice. Ra Yoga

In 2006 she began teaching yoga only because she was living in East Africa and had a yoga mat. Upon moving to Tanzania she started a small class at her language school just to get some exercise. She began teaching with no formal training and never imagined that teaching would become her path. For two years her students were the children who were part of the center where she worked and the relief workers that served them. This yoga class is still carrying on... Read the profile >>
