grassroots actions

Community is an integral part of lululemon's success. Our lululemon stores work to create a true sense of community and health. Combine this with educators who are inspired to take personal responsibility for change, and the result is grassroots actions within our store communities.

Check out some of the actions being taken in our communities right now:

    community legacies
  • Agi in the Clarendon, VA community, is hosting monthly in-store brunches to introduce local non-profits to our guests

  • Jenny in Santa Barbara and Molly in the Chicago community have paved the way for recycling programs in their mall communities

  • Jay from West 4th in the Vancouver community is investigating ways to reuse our plastic gift cards so that less waste is generated

Each lululemon store also has a community board that highlights health and fitness in local communities. Local yoga studios, ambassadors, charities and other events contribute to the content of the board. In nearly every store we offer weekly complimentary yoga and fitness classes, and have anywhere from five to forty guests in attendance. These classes are taught by local ambassadors from the store community, such as fitness classes for moms with strollers, kid's yoga, as well as various yoga classes. There are local art shows, goal-setting seminars, health and diet speakers...all of which are complimentary to the public.

Our stores are designed to be a hub of activity and action in the community. If we can positively influence the health of our communities, then we will further our goal of elevating the world from mediocrity to greatness.
