I wear a yellow shirt (I have 4 of them!) every Friday. It is a signal to those with whom I work that the weekend beckons. That little bit of sunshine to brighten the social mood. Over the past 6 or 7 years it has made a fun and constructive difference to the moods of the people I work with. And it costs nothing - grins

White "sweaters" are made so that we CAN wear white all year long. Vote for White!:)

I remember seeing the Dalai Lama at he Roger's Centre and it was also a spiritual feeling to see such a graceful person. I like white too - a color of "all seasons" Keep up the good work Salimah. Proud of you.

hey all,
yes! wearing white is fabulous for many reasons. Spiritually - people around you respond with openess because white reflects highest consciousness. And really - everything goes with white. It is cooling and reflecting and stands out where ever you are. Deck yourself out in all white and let us know what happens. with love, salimah

Great post - I love wearing white, and I hate the rule of not wearing it after Labour Day since it's my favourite colour to wear. Even my car is white. It's hard to describe, just makes me feel happier, uplifted, optimistic, youthful. Maybe my aura comes through when I wear it, who knows :)

I wear black when I want to be taken seriously, but also when I don't want to stand out. When I'm feeling low on confidence it's the right colour for just melting into the crowd. But that's not a good thing in my books...would rather feel expressive not passive.

Thanks for giving me a solid argument for wearing white all year long!

I'd never really thought about it before, but I do have a favorite bright yellow cardigan that I wear when I want to cheer myself up. I wonder if wearing bright colors during the winter was the norm if we'd have a lot less seasonal affective disorders. What you wear really can affect your mood and the mood of those around you. Maybe I'll have to go pick up a white tank to add to my regular yoga clothes rotation :)
