the review

These might be the most comfortable pair of sweatpants I have ever worn in my life. I hit the park and enjoyed a few yoga flows in the comfort of my Namaste Pants. I stayed true to size in these pants, as they are intended to fit loose and relaxed, but one could size down for a more form-fitting style.

why we made this

A stylish alternative to the tried-and-true loose fitting sweatpant. Find your flow in the park, or toss it over your barely there Bikram outfit, and you are bound to find a yogic calm before class. Preparing your mind is just as important as preparing your body for Bikram.

Made with certified organic cotton and spandex, which gives natural softness and stretch for shape retention. Not only beyond comfortable, when you wash these little dreams, they won’t bag out or obtain that scratchy balled-up cotton texture your sweats from college have. Feel free to gracefully move in and out of flow sequences, and up and down the street.

Tencel silk waistband gives support with out digging into you. Have you ever gone through your comfy day in sweats to find pink indentations on your tummy? Tencel silk = divine, and your tummy will thank you for being nice to it.

Cuffed pants to keep them in place during downward dog, and you can head right into Warrior III without having to fuss with your pant legs.

Lovely details: no hemming required (even petite women can wear this as a full-length pant without hemming!). Drawcord for adjustability, and not the cotton rope you’re used to tying in knots: we dressed it up for success. Preshrunk, so wash me without worry! Back zipper pocket to store cash, keys, and lip balm.

why we love this

Chelsea: Loves the length of the pant and she prefers to scrunch it up and stride around town. Loves being able to get her flow on in the park and head back to the real world with a dose of tranquility comfortably tucked in her back pocket.

Chelsea is 5’4" and is wearing a size 8 in the Namaste Pant in Heathered Charcoal. She is also wearing the Cool Racerback in Tang Light.

Meaghan: Loves the lightweight warmth. She can move in and out of sequences staying warm in the cool Spring sun but not over heating. She also loves the stretch the pants have. You never know when Meaghan will find the desire to climb trees or pop out a balancing pose, so at least now she has the flexibility to accommodate her random movements, even on lazy days.

Meaghan is 5’4” and is wearing a size 4 in the Namaste Pant (stayed true to size) in Heathered Athletica Grey. She's also wearing the Modern Racer Tank in Tang Light in a size 4.

Whitney (me): I love how comfortable and lightweight these lady loves are. I can move around town, to yoga, coffee, and cuddle up at home on a rainy day with my laptop. Love is sitting in my Namaste pants with a cup of green tea after yoga at my favourite coffee shop, Caffe Carpe Diem.

Whitney is 5’7” and is wearing a size 8 in the Namaste Pant in Heathered Athletica Grey (stayed true to size), she is also wearing the Manifesto Racerback in Lagoon.

Go find your Om in the park. Namaste.

The Sway Jacket is the perfect layer before, after, and even during yoga (if you're like me and freeze in savasana). My favourite feature of this jacket is the organic cotton and spandex fabric blend. On my way to yoga, wrapped in an organic cotton cloud, I can easily find my yoga breath. After class I wrap myself up and sway my way to coffee with the ladies, with no need to groom.

Sweet savasana dreams with organic cotton.

Made with certified organic cotton and spandex - natural softness and stretch for shape retention. The softness of this jacket can attract the attention of your face, your face just might want to hide the day away in comfort. Feel free to play with the collar, the shape will remain.

Cowl neckline for added warmth. (You could even sneak a scarf under the cowl if needed.)

Front pockets to secure your money, keys and lip balm. I personally prefer pockets to purses.

Thumbholes keep your sleeves down and hands warm. A cozy jacket like this just wouldn't be complete without the comfort of thumbholes.

Preshrunk- no surprises when you wash it. (A lot of women size down in this jacket, but worry not as it will keep it’s size and shape.)

I always start my Sunday mornings with Val’s Hot Vinyasa Cardio class at 9:15am. Great energy, great flow! But last Sunday, I didn’t make it to class.

My alarm went off at 5am. I jumped into my jog skirt and headed to New York City with a group of friends for the Nike Half Marathon. Start time: 7:30am. You’d think with 16,000 runners there would be chaos, but the beautiful spring weather in along with the enthusiastic community of runners made for a harmonious event.

I’ve only been working for lululemon for three weeks but was determined to seek out other colleagues that I’d heard were running. I scanned a blur of people clad in spandex and running shorts milling around a wall of porta-johns. Thousands of runners, yet impossible to miss was a cluster of Leader of the Track checkered running skirts. I recognized Kristin, who was with Melissa, Christine, and Cara. We embraced the competitive yet unified spirit of the race day and shared a mini pep talk before heading to the corrals.

I’m happy to report that everyone in the photo achieved their goal time, and I reached my personal best to date at 1:53. My jog skirt was a home run and the prospect of celebratory mimosas with my friends an inspiration!

I may have missed Val’s class for a race, but you can bet I’ll be back practicing tomorrow with a new appreciation for the benefits of a vinyasa flow class to soothe my race muscles. With my race goal achieved, my next quest is to educate my fellow runners on the benefits of a restorative post-race practice -- even if it’s just a few downward dogs and a nice long savasana.

Why do I love my wonder under tights? Because if I didn't have them on, I'd be naked.

A Day in the Life of my Wonder Under Tights:

5:30am: Wake up. Think about my day. I'm going to work and then a run afterwards. I want to pack as light as possible. Solution: wear my gear to work. The resulting outfit: Flow Y Bra, Cool Racerback Tank, Wonder Under Tights, a baggy t-shirt and a hoodie for warmth. I am very lucky that I don't have a dress code at work.

6:45am: Throw my runners into my Jet Running Duffle and I'm out the door to catch the bus.

12:00pm: Ate two wraps and a salad, am extremely thankful for the 4 way stretch waistband.

5:00pm: Take off my t-shirt and hoodie, tie up my runners and I'm off on a 3km jog to the gym!

These tights are my secret weapon as I navigate though my day of work and play. From keeping me covered in down dog, to wicking sweat across a 10km finish line, or being paired with a pair of gladiator sandals for a stroll down Robson Street, my Wonder Under Tights blur the line of sport and fashion. These are definetly not my momma's 80's spandex.

We currently make three different versions of these tights: We have a long option, regular length crop version, and now an organic cotton yarn legging style. Got questions on the difference? Give us a ring at the GEc (1.877.263.9300) and we'll be happy to give you the lowdown!
