How true. The path to self development is often as winding and unpredictable as Alice's journey through Wonderland. Just this year I set out on a similar adventure: What is my Big Hairy Audacious Goal?

Who knew that these little statements of "I will…" would became so powerful and life-changing once they hit the paper… As soon as I wrote my goals out I began working harder at the things that I loved, and am passionate about. In sequence, I got closer and closer to achieving the things that I wanted to achieve! For example: this year I set out to decide to really "jump in" to writing, and more frightening, having my writing read and shared by many different people. Once I put "I will join the lululemon blog team" on paper, it was all i wanted to make happen. I began looking at what I could do to qualify, finally leading into applying through email. I worked to make it happen, and it did, and it can happen to you right now.

I encourage you out there (at least I hope you're out there ) to take the time today, sit down with a good coffee and think of a goal you want to accomplish this week. Maybe its finishing your 5K strong or just polishing off that paper you were procrastinating on. Meeting goals feels AWESOME, so why not? Dare to step out on a ledge today and you might just find out that your ledge wasn’t as tall as you thought it was!

Proudly driven down from Portland to San Francisco by Andrea Hehr and Elizabeth Brotz, we present the lululemon love van! “It was a reminder of what I'm here to do. The company that we work for continuously amazes me and it was a sweet journey with a dear friend. We covered every discussion under the sun,” said Andrea.

Speaking of sun, you can do sun salutations on the roof of this van with its unique yoga platform.

Our lovely manifesto.

Wrapped in our manifesto, this van brought upon sudden awe and dropped jaws from onlookers and drivers along the freeway. “You could see the wheels start to spin…them asking themselves…when was the last time I did one thing a day that scared me?” Andrea.

After working for lululemon, we become immune to the boldness of our manifesto because it really becomes part of our everyday life.

Northern California should watch for us as we explore the region in our lululemon love bus - we'll be hitting up all the coolest events and riding in style. Get ready to be inspired.

I met Emily at the first benefit concert she put together, "Just Let Me Breathe". This was long before I had met lululemon. Emily was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at 18 months old. CF is a disease that creates a thick mucus in the body that blocks vital organs, making breathing extremely difficult. There are lots of different treatments, but nothing yet that is a cure.

Even with a terminal genetic illness, Emily has never stopped choosing a positive thought. She created her own nonprofit that raises money for CF as well as gets the word out about the disease.

Exercise isn't typically an option for CF patients but Emily refuses to believe this. She never looked back after her first 1/2 marathon last year. She has also cycled for CF in her City to City ride from Detroit to Chicago. Running and cycling has kept her hospital visits for her "tune ups" down to a minimum.

After a visit to Colorado in August and a visit to our Cherry Creek store I couldn't have been more inspired that she was about to ride across the country to get on the Ellen DeGeneres show where she would let the world know about CF. Her spunky attitude and never-ending smile never lets you say no.

No questions asked, I wanted to help. With the support of our Somerset store in Troy, MI and the team at 900 N. Michigan Ave in Chicago, we got things rolling. They threw her parties to celebrate her goal and helped her with yoga classes before and after her ride from Detroit to Chicago.

Emily is now riding a vespa and her bike to Denver and then Burbank, CA talking about CF and raising money for the cause. She is also inspiring everyone she comes into contact with. She is breathing deeply and appreciating the moment. Because she knows that living in the moment is the meaning to life!
