The human body is beautiful. It curves; it moves; it’s soft; it’s strong. It should be celebrated in all its forms.

I don’t know the what, when, where, why and how, but, somewhere along the line, we were told that our bodies weren’t good enough. We were told that we should cover-up, hide from the world, if we weren’t a certain body type. Well, forget that!

Far too much emphasis is put on what other people think. The emphasis should be placed on how you feel. We work out to build confidence and feel good about our bodies. Why don’t we celebrate what we work so hard for?

I am not a size two. My stomach does not lie flat, my thighs are bigger than they used to be, and my shoulders are broad. But that stomach supports me in plank pose when my yoga instructor decides we should hold it there for three minutes. My thighs power my legs as I dodge tree roots and rocks when sprinting through mountain trails. Those broad shoulders of mine propel me along length after length in the swimming pool. I work hard. And, if I want to wear a sports bra while I’m out for my morning run, I’m going to, and I don’t see why anyone should have a problem with that.

There’s no size restriction on beauty and confidence. Dare to bare a little skin. Show off your muscles, your curves. Wear that sports bra and those short shorts.

Don’t look to others for approval. Be the confidence you’re searching for.

Love your body.

My name is Whitney, and I am a luon-aholic.

However, not all styles of lululemon pants seem to work for me and my, let's say badankadonk. Don't get me wrong my booty loves being wrapped in luon, but sometimes my backyard does not like to come out of the fit rooms. "Hockey butt" is not a phenomenon only enjoyed by men, ladies have athletic "hockey butt" too, but in America we refer to it as "hitter's butt" or "baseball butt".

My "hitter's butt" and I are notorious for wearing things too big, and stray from publicly modeling new styles. Recently my fellow co-workers at lululemon La Jolla have been encouraging my private fit sessions to become public so that I no longer buy the wrong sizes. I like trying things on when no one can watch me, and yet I love when guests model for me and tell me everything they love and anything they would change on our garments. But we are working through this...

A week or so ago when the "Snaptastic Pants" were delivered to our wonderful store in La Jolla, and my friends Julie and Stefanie tried them on (both dancers, both yogis, both with legs to die for) and the pants looked phenomenal on them both! They both ranted and raved about how the pants gave them a nice compression, and the snaps were a great detail for air flow in pilates, yoga and dance class.

The pants have great detail where they almost compress around the calves of your legs, and thus showing off a lady's lovely shape. Me and my lovely lady lumps however were not having it when Julie and Stefanie forced me to try them on.

I have always admired the delicate movements and muscles of dancers, and though I am comfortable in my own skin, I did at this moment envy their ability to rock such cool pants that I refused to even try. I figured with my athletic shape, size 6 tummy, and size 8 "hitter's butt", I would look like a pear with legs. I watched them snap their pants up and down, until I finally got the nerve to try them on.

As I shyly creeped out of the fit rooms, and looked at mirror and said "Ohhh snapp!! These actually work for me!!"

The wonderful feature of compression truly showed of the details of my calves, and the snap open flare at the ankles not only enhanced the shape of my legs, but also balanced the extra shape of my hitter's butt!

For once I almost feel like a dancer in my Snaptastic Pants, and love that they are black and yet also reverse to grey! Hey now, phenomenal!

So again to the wonderful lululemon designers, thank you for making a wonderful garment that you don't have to be a dancer to rock and look great in. You can have a "hitter's butt" and strut your stuff in your badonka-down-dog at yoga!

Seriously girls with or without curves, go try these on, you truly might surprise yourself and your legs just might fall in love at first touch!

Namaste!

Nothing gets me more excited than when I'm working in our stores and I hear about guests falling in love with the TaTa Tamer. It may seem a little self-serving to name the TTT as my favourite piece of lululemon, but how can I not?

Any girl who's ever had to wear two bras just to go for a run knows exactly where I'm coming from. It's of course a lot more than that for me, being my first (read: more gorgeous supportive bras to come!) major contribution to lululemon in the world of full support sports bras.

I'm passionate about what I do: bras and underwear are fun and shouldn't be boring! I believe they should be a part of your outfit; they should look great and function for you no matter what you're doing.

I love solving problems in creative ways. Whether it's educators telling me about guest experiences or it's getting the opportunity to fit someone properly in the perfect sports bra for their needs, it makes my day. It's one thing to love what you do, another to do what you love, and it's something close to incredible when doing what you love changes the lives of women in the best possible way.

I wear my TTT all the time, co-coordinating of course with whatever outfit/activity I'm up to - working, running, jumping, dodgeballin'...(yes, I have specific outfits for these activities!). I've got various colours to work with my various outfits.

I love love love being a woman, I love being active, and I don’t believe that women should ever have to compromise one for the other. I'm proud of my shape, I like my curves and I want to still look feminine while running. No more uni-boob, AND I get the support I need! What else could I ask for? It's a fun, cute garment that functions. How could the TaTa Tamer not be my favourite piece of lululemon?

Melissa is our bra and swimwear designer. Her big, hairy, ambitious goal is to have Oprah talk about one of her bras on air.

In the photo above, Melissa and MelEesa (both on our design team) are wearing the Movement Tank over top of their TaTa Tamers. To try on and fall in love with a TaTa Tamer yourself, please visit your local lululemon store.
